Cleared the fault codes rail pressure is now spot on but up came the fault - cam position sensor - circuit malfunction. So I checked the pin data and measured the wires and found them to be wrong - pin one is 12v, (should be 5 volts). pin two is ground from ecu (correct) and pin 3 is 5 volts, (should be switched between 0 - 5 v).

I have read all the previous posts and checked both front ABS sensors and checked the wiring (even removed inner wheel arch covers) and found no abvious faults. I have checked the voltage at the electrical plug that fits onto both front ABS sensors
Possible causes : An electrical fault in the Turbocharger control circuit. MAP sensor electrical failure. Inspect connectors for signs of damage, water ingress, corrosion, etc. If the code is set at idle renew the turbocharger. I have a 57 plate 2.0tdci zetec and its always done this intermittently although behaved perfectly when taken back to the dealers I bought it from. On my insistence they did replace the battery but to no avail. Interestingly on a cold morning last week it took several attempts to start, not the usual 2.
They are good cars and you get a lot for your money, apart from the injectors (allegedly the injectors are better/ tougher/ more reliable than the mk3 TDCI Delphi ones) and the DMF, the DPF can give trouble (all mk4s have them) with forced regen/ constant forced regen, choked DPFs being a problem, the EGR can give trouble, with stuck valves

Hi. I'm new to this forum but have been reading it with interest. I have a 2005 Mondeo 2.0 TDCi and also suffer hot start problems.Took car to main dealer, diagnostic check done and was told actuator on turbo was u/s. Also told I had to buy complete actuator/turbo and they could do it for £2,198.40p.
The MK4.5 Mondy 2.0 TDCi unit IS a revised version of the engine in the MK4, you get a bit more performance and crucially the DPF is the non-maintenance version i.e. it's a coated DPF (cDPF) instead of the stupid Peugeot system involving the "eolys fluid".
I would like to consult you about my car, Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCI 2010 year, due to the reason that it doesn’t work normal after regular service made in the authorized Ford service. Regular service is made at 120.000 km. for a changing of ribbed, wedge belt, oil and all filters.
